Taking a Multi-Store Furniture Retailer Online

A furniture retailer with nine physical showrooms needed a single online store that matched the depth of its in-showroom catalogue — wired directly into inventory, logistics and payments.

Integrated system

The client operates nine physical furniture showrooms across two cities. The goal was to bring that full catalogue online in a storefront as considered as the showrooms — and to connect it directly to the systems that run the business.

The Brief

The catalogue spans everything from sofas and beds to mattresses, dining, storage, lighting and home décor. A storefront for a range this broad lives or dies on navigation and merchandising: shoppers need to move from the room they have in mind to the exact product without friction — on mobile as much as on desktop.

What We Built

  • A structured catalogue across 13+ top-level categories — sofas, living, bedroom, mattresses, dining, storage, study & office, outdoor, furnishings and lighting & décor — with room-based and subcategory entry points
  • Shop-by-room collections and curated feature sections with quick-link tiles to guide browsing
  • A full commerce flow: search, wishlist, cart, customer accounts and order tracking
  • Finance and retention features surfaced in-flow — no-cost EMI and a custom furniture exchange programme
  • A store locator covering all nine showrooms
  • Assisted-selling built in — chat and video-call support available throughout the journey

Built on a Performance-First Stack

The storefront runs on Flutter with a Django backend and a PostgreSQL database, using optimised, responsive imagery throughout so a photography-heavy catalogue stays fast on mobile — the primary device for the store’s traffic. Crucially, the front end connects to the client’s ERP, so inventory, logistics and the customer-facing store operate as one system rather than separate silos.

This integrated ERP and E-Commerce system has revolutionized how we operate. From backend logistics and inventory control to the customer-facing online storefront, everything is now seamless, centralized, and highly efficient.
